Welcome to Switching Hemispheres, the digital way to keep up with my journeys abroad. First thing is first- you need to learn how to navigate my site to maximize your viewing pleasure.
If you want to follow my blog and get email updates when I post a new blog post then scroll all the way to bottom of this page and hit the triangle with the “+” button. This will expand and you will see many features. Find the section that talks about following and enter your email address to receive notifications from me when I post something new (you WILL NOT get an email every day or probably every week- I am unsure of my internet connection abilities abroad so I will not be flooding you with notifications!). In this section you will also see that I have connected my Instagram account, so this is for all of you who don’t follow me or don’t have this social media platform at all. There are two more features I want to point out; 1) a map- this will eventually have my permanent address so if you are curious where I am or want to send a letter, etc. you can find that here. 2) Countdown calendar- for different milestones I will have a countdown, currently I have a count down to when I leave for staging.
Now, on the top of my page you will see different titles on my tool bar. The first one is “About Cambodia”. This is my portfolio page and I have creating three different portfolios thus far to share history, culture and food with you. I may add more portfolios if there are requests or if I want to share something else with my followers!
You will also find an “About Me” section so if you are new to my page and me and want to learn about me then check it out.
For all you visual people, check out my “Photos/Videos” section. I have created this to appear as a mosaic tile appearance as I add media. They will be captioned to click on individual photos for a bit more information!
Finally, there is a “Contact Me” section. Feel free to use this in whatever capacity you see fit. My email information, social media platforms, etc. is displayed in the “About Me” section- so if you want more consistent communication I suggest using one of those!
